For this is how God loved the world: He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. (Jn. 3:16)

Two Hands Home-based Care Unit
Namibia is one of the most AIDS-affected countries in the world. Since 1995, AIDS has been Namibia’s #1 killer with 23,3% of all pregnant women estimated to be HIV+. According to UNAIDS, at the current rate of infection, half of all Namibian teenagers today will die from HIV/AIDS. One third of all children may be orphaned before they reach the age of 18.
With such a stark reality staring us straight in the face, and the increasing helplessness driving many to the brink of despair and hopelessness, we, the Two Hands Home-Based Care Unit, voluntarily dedicate our service to our brothers and sisters in Lüderitz, infected and affected by the AIDS pandemic.
Acting in the spirit of Christ, we challenge the AIDS pandemic in Namibia with the Courage to fight and the Strength to care, to inspire and support programmes of HIV/AIDS prevention, home-based care, spirituality, empowerment for people living with AIDS, and support for orphans and vulnerable children.
“I tell you solemnly, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.” (Mt. 25:40)
